New Looks for Major Websites


In the interests of making information easier to find a number of large government departments have undergone some major changes in their websites.

Department of Health and Human Services
Now laid out with understandable simple headings
All information on subjects, regardless of agency of origin, under one heading, for eg. Aging
Has not been officially launched yet but consumers can offer suggestions after trying out
Future plans include signing up for updates and alerts

Healthfinder
The consumer health site of the Dept. of Health and Human Services
Added information for Alaskan Natives and American Indians
Choose "American Indians" in the Just for You area
This part of the site highlights more than 20 of the most important topics of interest to these populations with a total of over 170 topics covered

Medlineplus
The Consumer Health Information pages from the National Library of Medicine are now available in Spanish.
