Health Careers Resources



As you may or may not know, a big part of the NAHEC mission is to promote health careers to professionals, students, and the community. Summer is a great time to enhance yourself professionally, to take time to reconsider your current employment or your future career. Please take a look at the following opportunities.


Resources for Teachers, Career Advisors and Counselors

The CDF (Career Development Facilitator)- Career Development Institute is designed for professionals involved in career advising in schools, organizations, and business. CDF will hold an Institute on Senior Projects July 9-11.


The fourth annual CDF Institute will be held on July 21 and 22 (Preconference workshop on marketing will be on July 20).


On July 30-August 1, the CDF will hold an Institute on Career Assessments. You can find more information on these Institutes at the web site, www.cew.wisc.edu

NAHEC will be holding a one day drive in Career Institute we’re calling "Who’s going to take care of us?"- advising students toward health careers. Wednesday July 16, 2003, 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM at the MEADE INN in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Resources for adults and older students looking for career direction

HEALTH CAREER CAMP EXPRESS a one-day career camp designed to help make a career decision, explore health careers, and talk to people in health.
