Disability and Rehabilitation
This week’s topic is Disability and Rehabilitation. The sites are well-organized
and contain a wealth of information. Check out the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation’s
interactive Anatomy Explorer, which allows the user to click on the body part and
view the bones and muscles. Of particular note are the two support sites.
Band-Aids and Blackboards contains many letters from children who provide a much
needed insight into what it is like to grow up with a disability. On the Other
Hand is produced by a woman who uses her "dual experiences as an occupational
therapist and as an adult with a congenital hand anomaly" to provide useful
information for others.
