Computer and Database Tutorials

There are many free tutorials on the Internet. Below are a few that deal with basic computer skills, and some that deal with specific software packages or specific databases. Keep in mind that a tutorial will be more useful if it is for the specific version of the software that you are attempting to learn, e.g. Windows 98 or Windows XP.

Jan's Web Work and Experiments
This is the Web site of Jan Smith. Jan is a mathematician by training, a teacher by profession, and a web designer by intent. There are several computer tutorials on her Web site. The most comprehensive tutorial is listed below. http://www.jegsworks.com/

Basics of Computing, or Computer Help for People over 50
From the author of this Web site -- The title of this site could have been "computers for beginners", "computers for seniors", "computer basics", "computer tutorials", or "basics of computing" - anything. Any of these titles would be appropriate for this site. But at work, I have found that people over 50 usually need help using their computers. That is why I have chosen the title "Computer Help for People over 50".
